Silverware chest monitor stand
My computer monitor sat too low on my desk – and it isn’t the type with the adjustable back. I could prop it up on some phone books – but I never use phone books anymore and they hit the recycle bin as soon as the throw them at my front door.
But I love finding old silverware boxes – the wood kind with hinged lids and sometimes an extra drawer. I get them at junk shops or garage sales. I use them for lots of things.
So I had an empty one with a drawer. I opened the lid (left it attached – never know if I’ll need if for something else) and set my monitor in it! It raised it up 2.75″ – just exactly what I needed.
If I keep my desk clean enough, I can open the drawer which now holds note paper, pens, and other stuff that ends up being used every day at my computer.
Things that get used more often can sit inside the top – you know – like toy xylophones.
Happy Day……………….Jules
